Two years ago this week, I had the privilege of shooting my first wedding. Most photographers start out assisting experienced photographers by second shooting for them. My start was a little different. I did second shoot my first wedding, but it wasn't for photo but for video! It wasn't in any old location. It was in Puerto Rico for Amanda at Reclick Creative! Little did I know at the time that Amanda would quickly become my best friend, and two years later I would have 18 weddings under my belt, with 16 more planned for this year alone! I have learned so much over the last few years, from how to change my camera settings in a split second, to how to serve the couple best.

Although I was in Puerto Rico for a short time, I immediately fell in love with it. The COVID-19 pandemic has kept me from returning, but I will be shooting a wedding there in January 2022, with, you guessed it, Reclick Creative! In honor of this two year anniversary, I wanted to share some photos from the trip!

You can find the trailers of those two weddings here and here.

Below are a few photos I took during those two weddings. The weddings were back-to-back, which was exhausting, but so much fun!

The morning of the second wedding we were surprisingly well energized.

But not so much after the second wedding. Whew! We were exhausted!

We did a fair amount of traveling because the second wedding was on the opposite side of the island as the first, so we stopped in a town on our way back to San Juan the morning after the second wedding to grab coffee and explore a little! The coffee place was right next to the water. It was perfect for a relaxing couple of minutes before we headed back to San Juan.

Before heading home, we were able to explore parts of San Juan! I cannot wait to go back to Puerto Rico!

I am so grateful specifically to Amanda, for trusting me as her second shooter, for showing me the ropes, and nurturing a love for weddings, and for the entire creative community here in Morgantown, WV. I wouldn't be doing this without the support of this community.
